Service Description

The Solo Parents' Community is a place for parents to meet so that they can connect with others who understand the challenges of parenting on your own. You might be a single parent, or perhaps you feel like you are solo parenting because your partner is often away or uninvolved; or maybe you are going through a challenging separation and could use some support to pull yourself through the difficult days. It doesn't matter what your situation is, but if you would find it helpful to connect with others who 'get it', this is your group. We will meet once per month on a Saturday or Sunday morning at The Village, Zurich from 10am until noon. Coffee/tea and light snacks will be provided. You can drop in and stay as long as you like, with or without your children. In order to make this group as inclusive as possible, there is no required payment to join; however, in order to keep The Village going we would appreciate a contribution of your choice towards the cost of overheads, if possible. This group is facilitated by Angie, a single mum of two (8 and 10) and the owner of The Village. She absolutely understands the challenges of solo parenting and can offer an empathetic ear along with a welcoming and non-judgemental space to share, and a warming cuppa. You can join alone or with your children; there will be toys, games and activities available for various ages so they can play while we chat, connect and support one another.
