One-to-one breastfeeding preparation provided by an NCT (National Childbirth Trust, UK)-qualified Breastfeeding Counsellor and Perinatal Educator. The 1.5hour session aims to educate parents-to-be on the basics of breastfeeding, in order to equip them with the knowledge needed to prepare for their own breastfeeding journey and give them the best chance of a positive breastfeeding experience. We will also discuss your personal circumstances which may impact on feeding and I will offer evidence-based information relevant to your circumstances, empowering you to make informed decisions Specifically, we will discuss: - Baby's first feed and the early days - Lactation physiology and let down - Responsive feeding and understanding hunger cues - Feeding positions and optimal latch - How to support a breastfeeding parent - Setting expectations about night feeding - Coping with feeding challenges In-person sessions cost 165 CHF and online sessions cost 135 CHF. Consultations which run beyond 1.5 hours are charged at 15 CHF per additional 10 minutes. Partners are welcome to join too!
