Service Description

One to one infant feeding support from an NCT (National Childbirth Trust, UK)-qualified Breastfeeding Counsellor and Perinatal Educator. The session will involve exploring any issues or concerns experienced by mothers or parents with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, infant feeding with formula milk or the transition to solid foods. I will listen to your concerns regarding your feeding experiences and reflect on what I hear in order to help you make more sense of your situation. We will discuss your personal circumstances which might have an impact on feeding and I will offer evidence-based information relevant to your circumstances, empowering you to make informed decisions. We will work together to explore options for moving forward and I will support you to determine the next steps in you and your baby's feeding journey. Discussion topics might include: - preparing for breast/chestfeeding while pregnant or expecting a baby - your baby experiencing difficulty latching on the breast - parent experiencing discomfort while breast/chestfeeding - discussing the logistics of or planning a return to work - discussions about weaning or introducing supplementary/solid foods - concerns with milk production (low supply or oversupply) - nighttime feeding, possibly in relation to sleep or night weaning - breastfeeding a toddler or tandem feeding - expanding your young child's palate (for example, adding additional flavours or textures of solid foods) Sessions can be provided in-person (at LilyBee in Zurich or Newborn Mums in Adliswil) or online. An initial in-person consultation is charged at 95 CHF per 45 minute session and in cases where subsequent in-person sessions are needed, these will be charged at 85 CHF per 45 minutes. Online consultations are charged at 85 CHF per 45 minutes and follow up sessions at 70 CHF. Consultations which run beyond 45 minutes will be charged at 15 CHF per additional 10 minutes.
