Join us as we venture into the garden!! During this week-long half-day holiday club, children will play, learn, share, sing, move and get creative as we explore the springtime garden at LilyBee! This club is aimed at school children aged 5 to 10 and offers something different to holiday camps: a shorter, less intense (and therefore less expensive!) offer to keep your children busy during the mornings during spring school holiday. It runs from 9am until noon, 28 April until 2 May, at LilyBee (Rosengartenstrasse 10, 8037 Zurich), a safe, central location, with it's own a secure garden area. The club will be run in English, with a maximum of 12 children (6:1 child to adult ratio). Note a minimum of 4 children are required for the club to go ahead. The theme of the week will be 'exploring the garden' and we will plant, craft, sing and play loads of fun activities related to the garden, while learning with hands-on sensory fun and a bit of science! The programme for the week is as follows: Monday: How do Plants Grow? We will plant seeds, learn about what lives in soil, and craft a veggie garden. Tuesday: The Life of a Butterfly Today we learn about the butterfly life cycle, craft caterpillars and butterfly wind chimes! Children will also do a scavenger hunt searching for different butterflies around the garden. Wednesday: Creepy Crawlies We will learn about all of the little bugs that live in a garden and why they help to make our plants healthy (or unhealthy!), craft different insects and make personalised keychains. Thursday: The Flower Garden and May Day Celebration Today we will paint and plant flower pots, learn about pollination and craft buzzing bees! Friday: Garden party! On our last day we will do some simple (no-bake) 'baking' and make our own berry pies for snack time and finish the week with a garden pinata full of craft supplies and small gifts to take home. The cost is 57 CHF per day, with a 5% discount for two siblings; 10% for three siblings. The full week (5 mornings) costs 255 CHF; 480 CHF for two siblings. Three club days costs 162 CHF; 308 for two siblings. For extended childcare, a lunch service will be available each day from 12:00 until 14:00 (35 CHF per child, per day). Children will enjoy a healthy cooked lunch, followed by freeplay time outside, or additional time for crafting when the weather doesn't cooperate.
